Napoli tell Manchester United how much it will cost to sign Victor Osimhen this summer

Napoli will not even consider selling Victor Osimhen this summer unless Manchester United arrive with a bid of €150million (£132m).

United will make signing a new striker a top priority at the end of the season with the club also considering moves for Tottenham star Harry Kane and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos.

Osimhen has also been targeted with the Nigeria international enjoying a sublime season, scoring 25 goals in 29 appearances with Napoli into the Champions League quarter-finals and leading Serie A by 18 points.

At 24, the former Lille star is coming into his prime years and has not ruled out a move to the Premier League in recent comments made to the Italian media.

Il Mattino reports United are indeed eager to sign the striker this summer, with Osimhen likely to be keen to listen to the club should they push forward with a bid.

But Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli have decided the player will not leave for a penny less than €150m.

The Napoli chiefs will not even discuss a deal unless that offer is on the table with the club under no financial pressure to cash in on one of their prized assets.

Osimhen meanwhile was asked specifically about United’s interest earlier this month, telling Sport1: ‘I don’t know what the future holds. I think I’m on the right track.

‘At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything.

‘I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Napoli. We will find a good solution together.’

Tottenham striker Kane is reported to be Erik ten Hag’s first choice option to lead United’s attack but the club also face paying a huge fee should they pursue the England captain.

The Times report Tottenham have informed United they want a fee of £100m to be paid up front his summer.

Spurs believe that figure will be enough to deter United and remain confident of Kane signing a new contract with the club, with his current deal up in 2024.
